Benefits for the stylist

Being in the industry for 15 plus years, I have done hundreds of trials. It really helps to be able to meet you before your wedding day, to get a feel for your hair, and to get to know you as a person. For makeup, it is very important for us to know your skin type, and have an idea of what you want for you big day. Sometimes we need to order a special product, lip color, or lashes, to fit your needs. Doing a trial gives us the time to do that to make your day stress free and ensure you will look exactly as you have envisioned. Here are some tips from a stylist point of view to help you at your trial.

-Tell us your daily routine for hair and makeup, and how you envision yourself  as a bride

-(like i said above)Be patient, we are getting to know you, just as much as you are getting to know us

-Be honest. Be up front about anything you love or don’t like at all. You are not going to hurt our feelings. This is the whole point of the trial.

-We love spending time on trials, but unfortunately we do have a time limit. I have spent hours on trials, but they do need to come to an end at some point. If you think you need more time, do not hesitate to book another trial. Some brides are very unsure of what they want. That is totally Ok!

-When you leave, you should love how you look, and be confident for the day of your wedding.

-After your trial, take lots of pictures! Most likely you are going to have on more makeup than you are used to. Get used to it by taking pictures. Professional cameras make you look like you have a lot less makeup on than you actually do, so it is nice to see what you will look like in your pictures the day of your wedding. I promise you, it really helps!

Invest

Invest this time, and money. I can’t stress how important it is. You are going to spend a lot of time together so it is essential that you become familiar with each other. You need to love your vendor and feel so comfortable with them as you are entrusting them with your most intimate moments. Having built a foundation, trusting this person is going to make the day of your wedding so smooth and stress free. You can concentrate on getting married, knowing you are going to look exactly how you want to look when you walk down the aisle.
